Open Strategy Lab → How these numbers are calculated
Hot numbers are ranked by the total number of times they've appeared across all 1,978 historical Powerball draws. Cold numbers are the inverse — drawn fewest times overall. Overdue numbers are sorted by how many draws have passed since each number was last drawn.
Lottery draws are independent random events — past frequency does not influence future probability. These rankings exist for two reasons: to satisfy curiosity, and to feed the constraint-based filters in the Strategy Lab, which lets you generate combinations that mirror — or deliberately break from — historical distributions.
